Full Lot Description
A modern silver tea service by Albert Edward Jones, comprising a teapot, coffee pot, hot water pot, twin-handled sugar bowl and cream jug, each of circular tapering or bulbous form to a footed base, and decorated in relief with a trailing leaf and berry border below the rim, the pots with wood effect handles and finials; together with a matching twin-handled oval tray, also with leaf and berry rim. All hallmarked Birmingham 1978, teapot and tray also impressed A. Edward Jones Ltd Silversmiths Birmingham, and numbered 713. Length of tray including handles 19" (48cm), height of coffee pot with finial 8.25" (21cm), approximate gross weight 137.47 ozt (4276 grams).

Condition Report
<li>Appears in fairly good overall condition.
<li>All displaying some light surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing, consistent with age and general use.
<li>A few minor surface dints.
<li>Also some minor nicks, gouges or file type marks around some edges.
<li>Sugar with a couple of larger, more notable dints to one side.
<li>Slightly larger dint to foot of the coffee pot.
<li>Hinged lids all appear in good working order and close flush.
<li>The foot of hot water pot is very slightly pushed up on one side. As a result it has a slight wobble.
<li>The handle section of hot water also has very slight movement.
<li>Handles and finials possibly a simulated wood?
<li>The tray with numerous scratches and contact marks consistent with general use.
<li>Very slightly warped so does not lie completely flat and wobbles a little.
<li>All hallmarks located to bases and all in good order.
<li>Part hallmarks of date letter and lion passant to each lid.
