Great War medal group comprising, India General Service Medal, Afghanistan NWF 1919 clasp, unnamed, 1914-15 Star, named to '1906 Pte. W. B. Cornock', British War Medal 1914-20 and Victory Medal, named to 'Capt. W. B. Cornock', two sets of corresponding miniatures, Cornock's record of services, engraved scabbard band with listed battles to 'Capt W.B. Cornock', various cap badges, a further British War Medal 1914-20, named to '13518 Pte. C. Hindle. R. Lanc. R.' and with a comprehensive Cornock and Beale family archive, much of which is enclosed within a Thomas Milner & Son iron safety box named 'Capt W. B. Cornock'. <br/>

<p>The Cornock and Beale family archive includes four hand written diaries by Walter Beale Cornock dating from 1913, in particular documenting the Great War and includes photographs whilst in service, and a large quantity of hand written letters from Walter Cornock whilst stationed in India. <br/>

<p>A large quantity of associated family documents and correspondence, some military, extensive photographs mostly contained in albums, newspaper clips and correspondence dating from the nineteenth century up to the mid-twentieth century.
