Full Lot Description
A mid-20th century Scottish silver presentation vase, designed by Cyril Shiner, the circular waisted form lightly planished and having a gilt interior, the upper body engraved with a coiled snake around a staff, and five keys, above a band of gilt bosses around the waist, and engraved below 'In honour of Dr. L.T. Clarke May 18th. 1900 - January 4th 1963' "Nobby". Hallmarked Robert Edgar Stone, Edinburgh 1963, and further engraved to base of foot 'Designed by Cyril J. Shiner'. Height 9.5" (24cm), weight 18.75 ozt (583 grams).

Condition Report
- Of heavy gauge and appearing in good overall condition.
- Displaying some general light surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing.
- A couple of minor surface dints.
- Some minor surface nicks, especially around rims.
- Some slightly heavier scratches and scuffs to the base of the foot rim.
- Gilding to interior of vase is very bright.
- Hallmarks are clear and legible, as are the presentation engravings.
