Full Lot Description
An Austrian Arts & Crafts silver gilt turquoise matrix and baroque pearl necklace, by the Wiener Werkstätte.
Austrian marks.
Length of pendant panel 5.7cms. Wearable length 38cms. 15.5gms.
With maker's case.

Condition Report
Slight surface marks.
Wear and discolourations to the gilt finish.
Maker's mark evident to reverse of pendant and near clasp. No obvious designers or craftsmans marks.
Pearl drop presumed later replacement, pearl surmount loop is a white metal.
Pearl untested for natural origin.
Pearl appears off oval, silvery grey body colour with strong blue and green overtones. Good lustre.
Estimated length 11.7mms.
Turquoise is a slightly mottled light medium blue. Varied brown matrix.
Chain links are slightly stretched.
Case shows general wear. Discolourations to the interior. Silk is broken across the hinge. One section of the box lid is split at the seam.
