Full Lot Description

Stuart Devlin, a novelty silver-gilt surprise egg, the textured shell opening to reveal three rabbits poking their heads out from under a flowering bush, with enamel highlights and a red enamel bird perched on top. Hallmarked London 1985, limited edition no. 65. Height 6cm, gross weight 2.71ozt (84.3g). In original fitted box with booklet.

The lot also includes a copy of the original drawing for this egg, and a typed notice from the Stuart Devlin Clerkenwell showroom, which includes a description of the egg.

Appears in good overall condition.
Displaying some light surface wear, marks and scratches.
Patches of darker tarnishing to areas of the exterior shell.
Enamels bright; minimal losses or nibbles.
Hallmarks and limited edition numbers with some blackening in the punches but still all clear and legible.
Box and copy of drawings and typed notice all in good order.
