Lot Description
George III silver sugar basin of square form with gadrooned rim, high arch flat top handles and raised above four ball feet. Hallmarked London 1804, makers' mark indistinct. Height including handle 5 inches (13 cm), weight 9.7 ozt (304 grams).

Condition Report
There are light and deeper scratches and dints to the piece. There are some particularly deep and noticeable scratches to the inside of the basin and on the underneath. Two of the hollow ball feet have holes, both are on the front and visible. The engraved cartouche detail is in good condition and not showing much wear. One side is engraved with the letter B. The gilt interior is quite tarnished. The handles are starting to come through the basin. The piece is a little unsteady. The worn hallmark can be found on the top left below the rim.
