The cased pair of peppers are in very good condition commensurate with age and use. The items are displaying minor scratches, marks and tarnishing and would benefit from a polish. Original makers seam has become visible but can also be removed by a polish. Pierced lids display gilt detailing underneath which has begun to tarnish and discolour. Hallmarks are a little rubbed but legible. The original case is in good condition internally with a few minor stains to the velvet. Externally the box displays various tears and scratches to the surface.
