Lot Description
George III 18ct gold pair case pocket watch with white enamel dial, black Arabic numerals and Recordon style hands, the plain case with reeded detail, hallmarked London 1791 with the case makers mark VW, back wind and dial set, verge fusee movement with round pillars having foliate pierced and engraved cock with diamond endstone, signed Whipham & North, numbered 3121. Outer case diameter 52 mm.

Condition Report
The outer case is clean with small knocks and dimples to the centre, the case release button is worn to the end, there are the remains of several watch repair and advertising papers in the case back, the hinge is in good order, the main case is generally in good condition having surface marks and scratches, the hinge in good order, the mineral crystal is heavily scratched to the centre, the dial has a substantial chip between the six and seven o'clock positions, and a hairline mark between the eleven and twelve o'clock positions, the hands are in good condition, the movement is clean and currently fully wound, balance is free but it is not currently running.
