Lot Description

A George III 18ct gold open face key wind pocket watch, the gilt dial with central engine turned decoration, raised gold tone Roman numerals and outer minute spot markers, the case back having engine turned decoration and initialed cartouche and milled band, hallmarked London 1816, fitted with a verge fusee movement with foliate engraved balance cock and diamond end stone, signed Weller Bridgenorth. Case diameter 42mm.

Total lot weight: No

The engine turning on the back of the case still has good definition, with a few light knocks and subtle imperfections, the gilt dial is in good condition, the hour and minute hand are not matching, the glass has some surface marks, the movement is reasonably clean but the staff has gone, the fusee is still attached and will wind, and the train runs through.
