Lot Description

A small selection of silver items to include a George IV pounce pot of cylindrical form with engraved crest, knopped stem leading to a circular reeded base, and pierced lid with gadrooned border, hallmarked Rebecca Emes & Edward Barnard I, London 1825, height measures 3 inches (7.5 cm). Together with a late Victorian lidded mustard pot with blue glass liner (SD), a decorative German oval vanity pot and a matching pair of small cylindrical pepper pots etc. (8).

The pounce pot is in quite good condition with general  tarnishing, wear and small nicks commensurate with age and handling. Gilded interior still bright. Hallmarks to cover and body clear and legible. The mustard pot is tarnished and scratched, the liner is chipped around the rim. The makers' mark is rubbed but other marks legible. The other pieces consist of a facetted glass dressing table pot with engine turned lid, a pair of “picnic” pepperettes with crest engraving, an weighted egg shape pepperette, a German vanity pot and comb mount (comb deficient). These items have various dents and all are tarnished. Most Hallmarks legible although some slightly rubbed.
