Channel Islands nineteenth century set of six Old English Shell back teaspoons, with the makers mark GM, tentatively attributed to George Mauger, the reverse of the terminals initialed E.N. Together with a set of four similar Channel Islands teaspoons, also with the makers mark GM and initialed MLQ.

The set of six teaspoons appear in good condition commensurate with the age and use with general scratches and marks, a little rubbing to the shell backs, one displays some tarnishing marks similar to those left from being stored in rubber bands. The makers mark clear and legible. The set of four display a little more wear and tear and rubbing of the shell backs, makers mark a little rubbed but legible.


With reference to page 136 in Silver in the Channel Islands by Frederick Cohen & Nicholas Du Quesne Bird and published by Jersey Museum Service , the makers mark GM  for George Mauger. jersey circa 1776-1767.
