Victorian embossed silver rattle with whistle termination and mother of pearl handle, missing bell pendants. Hallmarked E S Barnsley & Co (Edward Souter Barnsley) Birmingham 1900. Height measuring 5 inches (13 cm).

The rattle displays general scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Hairline fractures visible to the mother of pearl. The hallmarks are a little distorted but clearly legible. As mention in the description the suspension items are missing, likely to have been bells.
