A late Victorian silver mounted glass decanter of bulbous form, star cut base, crested silver neck and the hinged lid with club shaped thumb piece. Hallmarked John Grinsell & Sons Birmingham 1892. Height measuring 8 1/4 inches (21 cm).

The decanter displays light commensurate wear for the age and use, with general scratches, marks and tarnishing. Solder visible to the thumb piece. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
