An oval amethyst brooch, the central oval amethyst within a scroll design surround. Length 1.9cms, width 2.4cms. Weight 7.70gms.

Condition Report
The brooch is in fair condition. The facet edges to the amethyst are rounded and abraded. There is some slight colour zoning visible to the amethyst when the stone is turned, there is a also a small internal fracture visible near to the base of the amethyst. The claws to the amethyst may need to be secured. There are slight scratches to the outer surround and areas of discolouration. There is a possibility that the back surround has been added at a later date, the back pin is metal.
