Lot Description
A Victorian brooch circa 1860, in the form of two identical oval brooches with a central split pearl and green gem centre both joined by a fine belcher link chain. Length of oval brooches 1.6cms, width 2cms. Weight 7.87gms. AF.

Condition Report
The brooches are in overall fair condition. One of the green gems is missing and would need to be replaced. The split pearls are fairly well matched, there is damage to the nacre of one visible with magnification. The centre panels to the brooches have discoloured, there is damaged/splits to the raised gold detail to the sides of the brooches. There are scratches to the reverse. One of the back pins appears to have been replaced.
