Lot 339

Lot Description

A silver gilt 'surprise' easter egg by Stuart Devlin, the textured shell opening to reveal a large cockerel standing over a bunny hatching out of a small silver coloured egg, on a green enamel base, in original case.  Hallmarked London 1983, also marked with number '3'.  Height of egg when closed measures 7cm, gross weight 127 grams.

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

The overall condition appears to be generally okay.  The exterior of the egg displays general surface marks and scratches and perhaps some loss of detail to the textured surface.  There are also contact marks to the interior of the lid and the inner rim of the base.  Also light surface marks and scratches to the interior and enamel base.  Hallmarks to the underside are clear and legible, as are the part hallmarks to the top of the egg.  The case is generally okay.
