George V silver hip flask of curved rectangular form, personal engraving and hinged domed lid with twist locking mechanism. Hallmarked George Neal & George Neal 1917. Height measuring 5 inches (13 cm), weight 4 ozt (125 grams).

The hip flask displays general scratches and marks commensurate with the age and use, heavy visible tarnishing and would benefit from a clean and polish. The engraving reads 'Capt. T. T. Tailor, 23 Inf.Bde. Open Steeplechase France December 1917.'   The hallmarks are clear and legible.
