Lot Description
A German cigarette case, stamped 800, with engine turned decoration, scroll border and personal initial engraving. The front case has been applied with a Third Reich service cross and inner presentation engraving 'Zur erinnerung anmeine dienst' which translates to in memory of my service. Weight 3.35 ozt (104 grams).

Condition Report
The item displays general wear, surface marks and scratches all over. Some of the scratches are deeper and more visible. There are also several small dints/nicks in the metal all over. The blue decoration appears crude and has possibly been applied later. The join around the cross also appears crude and there are dark patches and discolouration in this area. The interior is quite discoloured, however the engraved writing is clear, as is the mark. The hinge and clasp are in good working order.
