A continental snuff box of rectangular form, hinged engine turned lid with vacant cartouche. Stamped silver to the underside. Measuring 61 mm by 36 mm by 11 mm, weight 38.7 grams.

The snuff box displays general scratches, marks and tarnishing. Numerous small dints visible. An area visible around the cartouche where the engine turned engraving has rubbed. The interior has previously been gilded this has noticeably worn and discoloured.
