Lot Description

An early 20th century silver novelty hat pin cushion, modelled as two golf clubs raised diagonally upside down and supporting a golf ball in between the clubs, mounted on a circular base with central cushion.  Hallmarked Crisford & Norris Ltd., Birmingham 1913 or 1938.  Maximum height measures 5 inches (12.5cm).

The hat pin cushion displays general wear and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use.  There is also quite a lot of tarnishing.  There are several dints to the circular silver mount and there is a repair to the handle of one of the golf clubs. There is some deterioration to the cushion.  Hallmarks are clear and legible.
