Lot Description
A pair of tall plain silver candlesticks, each with knopped waisted stem leading to a spreading circular filled base, with concentric banded decoration to the sconce, knop, stem and base. Hallmarked W I Broadway & Co., Birmingham 1965. Height 12 inches (30.5cm).

Condition Report
Both candlesticks display general wear and surface marks and scratches. There are also various nicks and dints in the metal all over, especially around the edges and borders. There is some wear to the banded decoration and also a little bit of tarnishing in places. There appear to be some small creases and splits in the metal on the lip of each sconce, where it has been joined onto the main candlestick (this is more obvious on one of them). Hallmarks are rubbed but still legible.
