The pendant is in overall good condition. We believe the frame of the pendant to be possibly early 20th century, with the opals and paste added at a later date, the chain we believe to be a later addition. The opals have a good play of colour, displaying pinks, greens and blues, the opals and paste are in good condition. There are slight scratches to the pendant and chain, the opal beads to the chain appear in good condition, minor abrasion with magnification and the clasp is secure.
