Lot Description
Italian silver oval trinket box, the lid decorated in relief with three putto picking fruit from a tree and the base embossed with a continuous band of trailing and fruiting vine, the lid struck with the five pointed star, FI and number 282, also stamped 925, the base struck with London import mark for 1978, 925 and initials JS & MJ, maximum length measures 5.5cm. Together with two smaller Continental rectangular boxes, each stamped 800. (3).

Condition Report
All three boxes display general wear and surface marks and scratches and also some tarnishing. Wear is mainly to the edges and corners. There is slight loss of detail to some areas of the relief decoration on the oval box and various surface marks and scratches to the gilded interior. The hinges and clasp on this box are in working order although there is a very small gap when the lid is closed. The hallmarks are clear and legible. The hinges and clasps on the other two boxes are in good working order. Again there is some slight loss of detail to the relief decoration on the larger rectangular box. Marks are slightly rubbed but still legible.
