The snuff box displays general wear and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. There are also some minor nicks in the metal and a little bit more wear to the edges and corners. There is substantial loss of detail to the engine turned decoration on both sides. The hinges are in good working order. There are contact marks to the interior. Hallmarks are slightly rubbed but still legible.
