Lot Description
A 9ct gold keyless wind half hunter pocket watch by J W Benson, the white dial with hourly applied black Roman numerals, bordered by a minute track, subsidiary seconds dial positioned to six o'clock, the plain case with black Roman chapter ring to front, hallmarked London 1865, fitted with unsigned fifteen jewel movement with club tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 50mm. Total weight 89gms.
Update 25.10.11: The watch is dated to 1925 not 1865 as previously described.

9ct gold pocket watch by J.W. Benson, keyless wind movement is currently functioning, tiny marks to the white dial, scratching to the subsidiary dial from the seconds hand, tiny marks to the blue coloured hands, few light scratches to the glass from general use, scratching to the case consistent with general wear.
Update 25.10.11: The watch is dated to 1925 not 1865 as previously described. Watch is also missing the glass from the front of the half hunter case.
