Lot Description

A late 19th century 15ct gold diamond brooch. Of oval outline, the old-cut diamond inset to the circular-shaped panel with rope twist and bead detail. Estimated diamond weight 0.20ct. Hallmarks for Chester, 1898. Length 4.8cms. Weight 6gms.

The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The back has heavier scratches and some wear to the hallmarks. The pin is a base metal replacement. The diamonds appear bright and well matched, estimated I-J colour, P1-P2 clarity with scattered inclusions and surface reaching feathers.
