Lot Description

A late 19th century jet mourning pendant. Of oval outline, the split pearl cross to the jet surmount with arranged hair panel reverse. One imitation split pearl replacement. Length 6.4cms. See Plate 5.

The lot is in overall good condition, there are slight scratches in keeping with general wear. The split pearls slightly vary in colour, some slightly more lilac, one has been replaced with an imitation, there is dirt to the settings. There are minor scratches to the jet and an areas to the eding where the jet has cracked. There is dirt beneath the hair panel. The jump ring is discoloured. Weight 16.17gms.
