Lot Description
A Victorian 18ct gold split pearl and enamel mourning ring. The woven hair panel within a split pearl surround to the black enamel detail and foliate band. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1842. Weight 3.9gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair to good. Minor surface wear in keeping with age and wear. Central woven hair panel in fair condition with abrasion and scratches. Split pearls fairly well matched, of varying shapes. Pearls are creamy white in colour with blue overtones. Skins are uneven with surface blemishes. Fair lustre. Two are in poor condition with chalky lustre and surface abrasion. Evidence of gluing. Enamel in fair condition with minor surface scratches. With associated box. Ring size M1/2.
