Two 19th century enamel patch boxes. Each of oval form, the first centred by a female monochrome bust portrait with encircled banner motto "May Nature paint the Cheek and Virtue the MInd", flanked by floral sprays, enclosing a mirror over a pale blue body, 1.9", (4.8cm) wide, the second painted half-length with a lady in 18th century costume, on a speckled pink body, 2.3", (6cm), together with a banded agate oval pill-box, 1.4", (3.5cm) wide, etc

Condition Report
1. Some lid cracking around 4 o'clock and between 10-11 o'clock. Internal flaking and cracking, a few minor cracks to sides plus a small loss, star crack to base. 2. Some rubbing to edge of cover and a flake loss at 7 o'clock. Cracks to underside of cover (no mirror). One crack to interior. Some rubbing to body. Later date than 1. 3. Cover plating rubbed down to brass. Scratches to underside.
