Lot Description
A Victorian mahogany-cased twin fusee bracket clock with pull-repeat, having an 8" cream-painted Roman dial signed "J.W.BENSON, LONDON" with moon hands and the chain-driven movement striking on a bell, the drum-head case with convex brass bezel, over ebonised foliate scrollwork, plinth base and bun feet, 18.75" (47.5cm) high.

Condition Report
Dial - repainted and reblacked including inscription. Later hands. Dial glass replaced and crudely glued. Movement - unmarked but in good condition. Case - has been repolished and carved scrollwork has been black-painted. Overall - much alteration.
