Lot Description
A good second quarter 19th century French ormolu mantel clock by Lons, Paris. Having a 6" cellular Roman chapter ring, the two-train movement, outside countwheel-striking the half hours on a bell, stamped "FARRAT" and with 1827 Lons exhibition stamp, the finely-cast case with Bacchus surmount flanked by supporters, on scroll supports and breakfront base with foliage-cast feet, 21", (53cm) high.

Condition Report
Dial - slight tarnishing to centre, but generally good.
Movement - appears sound.
Case - some mounts need tightening. Extensive rubbing to gilding reveals red colour beneath.
