Lot Description

A rare oak cased dwarf longcase clock by Winterhalder & Hoffmeier, circa 1900. Having a 6" (15cm) brass dial, the silvered chapter ring with Roman hours, Arabic minutes and cruciform half hour divisions. The two-train spring driven movement outside count wheel striking on a coiled gong, the fine quality case of early 18th century design with ogee moulded cornice over pollarded frieze, bulging columns and a 4" wide ogee arched moulded long door between quadrant columns on a canted panelled base with bracket feet. 51.5" (131cm) high
