George III silver christening mug and sugar nips.

Lot Description
A George III silver christening mug of tapered form with reeded banding and personal inscription, hallmarked Peter & William Bateman London 1813, height measuring 2 1/2 inches (6.5 cm). Together with a pair of George III silver sugar nips, hallmarked Samuel Godbehere & Edward Wigan London 1796. Gross combined weight 3.4 ozt (107 grams).

Condition Report
Both the mug and sugar nips display general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The mug displays a little heavier wear with small dints and bumps, obvious repairs to the join of the handle. The hallmarks noticeably rubbed to the mug. The personal inscription is also worn and rubbed, reading ' To A.M.E. 30-10-26 From G.D.'
