Lot Description

A late Victorian silver pedestal bowl highly decorated with floral and fruit swags, the central stem mounted with four lion masks leading to the square base with fluted canted corners and raised on four shell and scroll bracket feet. Hallmarked Horace Woodward & Co Ltd London 1899 Height measuring 7 1/2 inches (19 cm), weight 25 ozt (785 grams).

The bowl appears in good overall condition however heavily tarnished with excessive remnants of old polish and would benfit from a clean and polish. The cartouche to the main body are vacant. The hallmarks appear clear and legible, the makers mark to the base is rubbed. The bowl wobbles a little when standing on a flat surface.
