Lot Description
A set of three Victorian silver graduated salvers of hexafoil form with tiered beaded rims, the main plate engraved with repeated floral motifs and central crest and raised above three claw and ball feet. Hallmarked Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co (William Gibson & John Lawrence Langman) London 1891/94. The smallest diameter measuring 7 inches (18 cm), the largest 11 inches 28 cm), gross combined weight 40 ozt (1248 grams).

Condition Report
The salvers appear in good overall condition displaying general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The smallest example is also numbered 5153. The hallmarks are clear and legible, the makers mark partly rubbed. The motto below the crest reads 'NIHLO NISI CRUCE'.
