Lot Description

George IV/William IV four part silver tea service, each piece of lobed form, the upper body embossed with hanging bouquets on a stippled background interspaced with foliage and floral finials, crested. Hallmarked Rebecca Emes & Edward Barnard I 1827/28/31. Gross combined weight 80.5 ozt (2505 grams).

The tea service appears in good overall condition displaying general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing..Remnants of old polish visible to the recesses. Ivory insulators displays cracks. The pins to the handle on the coffee pot are loose and the handle therefore wobbles. a few minor dents visible. The hallmarks positioned on the body on three parts ofthe tea service are rubbed - but all easily legible.
