Lot Description
Victorian silver small footed bowl, with gadrooned wavy rim and embossed decoration of trailing swag motifs above a continuous band of formalised acanthus leaves, with conforming decoration to the spreading circular foot and gilded interior. Hallmarked Martin, Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall), London 1887. Diameter measures 5 inches (13cm), weight 5.54 ozt (172.5 grams).

Condition Report
The bowl displays general wear and light surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Some more visible and deeper scratches to the gilded interior and some wear to the gilding. Some minor nicks in the metal in some places and some remnants of polish. Maker's mark slightly distorted but still legible, hallmarks clear and legible. Impressed number 4120 to the foot rim.
