Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers at the front of our catalogue for coloured gemstones. The cabochon ruby is a purple red hue. The cabochon has uneven proportions, appearing thinner at one end. There are some areas of broken silk and large surface reaching fractures running through the gem with associated small chips and crystal cavities. The back of the gem has orangy yellow staining. The ruby in good condition with minor abrasions.
