A late Victorian gold and silver diamond crescent brooch, circa 1890. Designed as a circular-cut principal diamond within an old-cut diamond crescent. Estimated total diamond weight 4.30cts. Length 4.3cms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The lot has been over cleaned and has lost its original patina. The clasp and possibly pin are later replacements. The diamonds appear bright and well matched, estimated principal diamond weight 0.55ct, I-J colour, SI2-P1 clarity with a surface reaching fracture. Some diamonds too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades. Unhallmarked. Weight 7.7gms.
