Lot Description

A Victorian silver key wind open face pocket watch by John Crofs, the white enamel dial with black Roman numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock, outer minute track, heavily rubbed case, hallmarked London 1858, with vacant cartouche to rear, fitted with a gilt full plate fusee and chain movement, signed John Crofs, London, with partial chaton set train jewelling, rack lever escapement and diamond end stone. Case diameter 52mm. Together with a silver key wind open face pocket watch. Both watches A/F.

A Victorian pocket watch, movement is not functioning, tiny marks and small areas of discolouration on the dial, wear to the minute track and track on subsidiary dial, minute and hour hand missing, remaining hand marked and discoloured, watch is A/F, glass is missing, case has medium scratches, case has been rubbed, rubbing to vacant cartouche, areas of discolouration, case back is not properly attached and comes off, crown bow and stem significantly discoloured, would benefit from a clean, rubbing to crown.


A key wind pocket watch, movement is not functioning, dial is scratched, areas of discolouration, watch A/F, all hands are missing, glass is missing, case has medium scratches, rubbing to the crown, tiny dints.
