Lot Description

A late 19th century French black slate mantel clock. Samuel Marti, Paris. Having a 4.25" (11cm) Roman dial, the gilt numerals on black chapter ring, the two-train movement with exhibition stamp and numbered 4037, striking on a coiled gong, the architectural case with domed pediment over balustrade, frieze and six Corinthian columns on stepped base, 17" wide x 17.75" high (43cm x 44.5cm)
