Lot Description

A mid 19th century French porcelain-mounted ormolu pocket watch-holder. The later fitted movement signed "Barbier, RUE GRENETA A PARIS No. 51", having a 1.5" white-enamelled Arabic dial with moon hands, the verge fusee movement with scroll-pierced cover, the body formed as a tree with colourful blossom, the cast scroll base centred by a porcelain figure of a drummer, 11.5", (29cm) high.
