Both salts display general wear, some tarnishing and general surface marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use.  Giilding to the interiors is quite worn and marked in places.  Various minor nicks/dints in the metal and some edge knocks around the foot rims.  Remnants of polish in some areas and some slight loss of detail to engraved crests.  Some slight distortion to maker's marks but main hallmarks clear and legible.
