Lot Description
Late Victorian silver travelling inkwell of small rectangular form, the exterior with a hammered textured skin detail throughout and an applied lever locking arm, the hinged cover with vacant oval panel to the centre and opening to reveal a gilded interior with a further hinged lid with central hole for an ink pot. Hallmarked Drew & Sons (Samuel Summers Drew & Ernest Drew), London 1897. Measuring 5 cm by 4 cm, gross weight 151.8 grams.

Condition Report
The inkwell is quite tarnished all over and displays general wear and surface marks and scratches. There are various nicks and more wear to the edges and corners and some deeper scratches in places. Some loss of detail to the decoration and some minor surface dints. Some wear to gilded interior, dark patches, spots of tarnish and various other marks. Lever arm and hinged covers in working order. Full hallmarks and part hallmarks are all legible, the underside also has impressed Drew & Sons mark and Piccadilly Circus.
