Lot Description

Continental pair of candlesticks, each with a fitted nozzle and vase shape socket above a lobed and knopped central column and leading to a spreading shaped base with four scrolled feet, decorated with acanthus leaf detail throughout. Height measures 12 1/4 inches (31 cm), weight 18.38 ozt (571.8 grams).

Each candlestick displays general wear, some tarnishing and surface marks and scratches commensurate with the use.  Various minor nicks/dints in the metal.  Remnants of polish in some areas.  Both are a little wobbly when standing.  The nozzles may have once been detachable but do now appear to be fixed in place.  Both are struck with the number 13 to the base but there do not appear to be any other marks.
