Lot Description

A turn of the century Japanese Natsume, marked sterling, of planished form with chrysanthemums embossed in high relief and a butterfly to the detachable lid with plain cover insert. Marked to the underside Kuhn & Komor sterling, alongside a pictorial mark of a bird and Japanese characters.  Height measuring 5 ½ inches (14 cm), weight 8.1 ozt (254 grams).

There is general scratches and wear to the Natsume and it is very tarnished. There are numerous dents, especially to the base and lid, which is particularly loose. marks to the underside are very clear and legible.
