A George III silver Bosun’s whistle with barrel shaped buoy, each side crested with a bugle horn, stringed, the keel of plain form with scrolling terminal, suspension loop and mounted with pipe gun. Hallmarked John Reily London 1803. Length measuring 10.5 cm, weight 25 grams.

Condition Report
The whistle displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Numerous dints and bumps including teeth marks to the mouth piece. A small repair visible to the gun pipe and a larger repair to the join between the keel and buoy. Part of a chain still present to the suspension ring. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
