A Victorian card case of plain curved rectangular  form, hallmarked Jay, Richard Attenborough & Co Chester 1899. Together with a larger example with scroll engraving and a personalised cartouche, hallmarked William Neale Chester 1900. Gross combined weight 3.2 ozt (101 grams). (2).

Both card cases have evidence of general scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age nad use. The plain example has a few small dints  and the hinge allowing sideways movement. The larger engraved example also displaying a few dints and a slight concave form to the body. The hallmarks generally clear and legible.
