Lot Description
A George III snuff box of oblong curved form with initialled cartouche leading to engraved detailed concentric circles and further borders of vermicular, wavy and punched decoration, hallmarked Joseph Willmore Birmingham 1812. Together with further George III silver snuff box of a plain oblong curved form, hallmarked Joseph Willmore Birmingham 1816. Gross weight 1.8 ozt (56 grams). (2).

Condition Report
Both snuff boxes display obvious signs of general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing. Numerous dints and bumps visible. Construction seams have become visible and in some areas they have started to split. The engraved box has quite a stiff lid and is a little difficult to open but opens fully once lifted. The hallmarks to both snuff boxes are visible and legible, displaying general wear particularly the Duty marks. The gilt interiors displaying general discolouration.
