Lot Description

A French silver snuff box of rectangular hinged form, engine turned decoration and vacant cartouche, Minerva head and maker's mark visible, length measuring 5 cm. Together with a further continental snuff box, stamped W.S. (2).

Both snuff boxes are in good to fair condition with general scratches, marks and wear. The French example has a larger amount of tarnishing, there are also some dints noticeable to the edges and base. Both hinges are in good working order and open and close fully. The French Minerva ead and maker's marks are quite distorted.
